1994 Opus One Meritage Napa Valley

WS97 Like the ’87, there’s a wonderful sense of harmony and finesse to this graceful, elegant wine. Lots of complex flavors, with tiers of spicy currant and black cherry. Long, intricate aftertaste. The fruit emerges gloriously from beneath a subtle earthiness in this wine, the flavors gushing forward, with layers of currant, dried cherry, sage and cedar. Impressive for its depth, concentration and finesse, with a long, lively aftertaste. Best from 2002 through 2014.
