Located 1,000 feet above the sea, Sierra Mar has a soil composition of decomposed granite and gravelly loam providing excellent drainage. This wine opens with a full bodied palate with great structure, has moderate acidity and flavors of black cherries, tea and toast. The finish is long with subtle tannins.
