WSI95 JS93 Aromas of ink and blueberries. Some stones, too. Full body, dusty-textured tannins and a rich finish. Yet this remains agile and formed. Better in 2018.
WA90 A sexy 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, made from a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Petite Sirah, and 1% Merlot aged 21 months in 100% French oak, this is delicious, reasonably priced wine. It has a dense ruby/purple color, loads of blackcurrants and black cherry fruit, licorice, attractive opulence and sweet tannins. Drink it over the next decade.
Estate Notes: More delicate and floral than our Oakville offering, this wine reveals aromas of caramel, crème cola and ripe plum, which moves into cedar with light notes of lemony bay leaf adding complexity and freshness to the nose. A supple entry and lively, drive through palate resolves to clean delineated finish. This is a nice, solid wine with a good juicy red fruit character that translates well to the mouth with a deepening of character. Barrels: 100% French, 55% New Barrel Aging: 21 Months. 1553 cases produced.
