Pale translucent ruby color. Nose of red flowers, spice and ripe red fruits. Supple, expressive and crunchy in the mouth, with flavors of dark red cherries, cranberries, oranges and black tea. Tannins are firm yet fine, showing great aging potential. This wine has classic, robust Pommard character. This vineyard, between 1er crus Les Pitures and Les Rugiens Haut, has small stones and less clay than most of Pommard, providing accessible wines from an early age.
Wonderfully seductive with a perfectly roasted chicken. Mineral and saline play wonderfully with pure, clean fruit and brooding but still silky tannins. Unlike other 2013’s this shows good density, structure and dark fruits. This is a wine that can age for some time.
