100% Sangiovese Grosso from just 2 km south of the Brunello DOCG 
This extraordinary growing zone (Montecucco) is Tuscany’s secret ‘hot pocket’, with 300+ days of sun, and less than 20 in of rain per year, and yet it’s well-ventilated from breezes that siphon in from the coast, some 40 km away.
The result is a Sangiovese with more fruit and structure than further north – not as lean and dry as Chianti, for example – and therefore sure to please a wider audience. Just 500 cases made.
