“ONE OF THE WORLD’S GREATEST CABERNET SAUVIGNONS”
– ROBERT PARKER
2015 One Point Five is subdued yet powerful, and ready to burst with black cherry fruit and perfectly honed tannins. With time, it will reward Cabernet lovers who manage to cellar this highly refined powerhouse but is polished enough to enjoy now with layers of luxurious flavor. Bonus, some of the fruit is from their Hillside Vineyard… YES, that vineyard!
Strikingly complex and engaging, offering tiers of flavor, including dark berry, cedar, graphite and oak, presented in a style that lets the elements speak through the tannins. Drink now through 2030.—J.L.
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 3% Malbec, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five Stags Leap has an earthy/meaty nose, featuring notions of tar and charcuterie over crème de cassis and baked plums plus a hint of licorice. Very big, full-bodied and packed with black fruit preserves in the mouth, it has a chewy backbone and lively lift to the earthy/savory finish. Drink Date: 2017-2037
“…the Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is, for my money, is one of the best wines in Napa Valley in its price range…Year in year out, this is one of the superstar wineries, not only in Napa Valley and all of California, but in the entire world. Today, this is a winery that does everything about as perfect as can be. They have kept their feet, heads and egos grounded, and continue to kick proverbial ass with every vintage. They make some of the very finest Cabernet Sauvignon and have crafted one profound wine after another.” Robert Parker
