IWR93 This fantastic Pinot Noir comes from the Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, which is comprised of volcanic soils and located at 750 feet elevation. It has a beautiful nose, with expressive aromas of strawberries, black cherry, loam, and fresh herbs along with forest floor and spring flowers. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous silky texture, with lots of spice and fresh red fruits leading into the soft finish. This is drinking beautifully today, and should continue to evolve nicely over the course of the next decade.
Estate Notes: Classic Wildcat Mountain! On the nose; effusive notes of mineral, slate, rich soil, oyster shell, mesquite and dust that lead into a tight, bright, juicy, savory and racy palate of plum, black tea, strawberry and chile relleno. The finish is a delicious mix of raspberry, cracked pepper and violets, and just goes on and on… Barrel aging: 21 months, 57% new French oak. 174 cases produced
