Made with the idea of an approachable, yet high-quality Napa Cabernet, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Benoit Touquette delivers the goods. Possessing a big, sexy nose of ripe currants, cassis, scorched earth and licorice, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, impeccable balance, and a hedonistic, undeniably delicious style. It will keep for a decade.
WA90 Something of a smorgasbord blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon with dollops of Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up loads of incense, spice box and dried flowers notions over a crème de cassis, cherry pie and fruitcake core. The medium to full-bodied palate is plush, rich and bursting with spicy black and red fruit flavors, going pleasantly savory on the finish.
Notes of bright cherry fruit, deep ruby color and fine intergrated tannin all combine to create an excellent wine with good depth of fruit and fine balance
