2015 Walla Walla Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon

WSI95 Dark and vibrant color. Raspberry, cherry and currant aromas with a floral, violet note and hints of cola and mint. A fruit-forward palate loaded with more cherry and pomegranate, underscored with orange zest, espresso and cedar. Balanced acidity and integrated tannins extend the finish through layers of black pepper, sweet oak spice, woody herbs and a touch of smoke.
Winemaker notes: Inviting aromas of blackberry and red currant dusted with cinnamon, cassis and woody herbs. Raspberry and black cherry flavors are layered with roasted eggplant and spice, back by sweet vanilla and coconut notes. Bright acidity and integrated tannins add length to the finish offering hints of rose petal, black pepper, tobacco, and just a bit more coconut. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Vineyards: Windrow, Dwelley, Pepper Bridge, Lodmell, Seven Hills, & Frazier Bluff Vineyards. Aging: 19 months in 51% new oak (44% French, 7% American), 29% once-filled, and 20% neutral barrels. Fermentation: Open top stainless steel tank, the cap was punched down 4x a day with select pump-overs
