2016 Clos du Caillou Rhone Blend

Aromas of garrigue (wild thyme, lavender and rosemary). Flavors of raspberry and black cherry.  Hand-harvested. Fermented on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Aged for one year in 60% older foudre and 40% tank. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.  A mix of vineyards that share similar terroir to classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards: large, round quartz river stones (galets roulés), clay and sand. 92% Grenache and 8% Mourvèdre
