2016 Familiar Air Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Benoit Touquette is blended of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon from Calistoga and St. Helena and 5% Merlot from Oakville, aged in 80% new French oak. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it gives lovely black cherries, black berries, cassis and warm plums with suggestions of cigar box, lilacs and Marmite toast with a hint of garrigue. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with lovely freshness and depth, finishing on a lingering mineral note. 168 cases produced.
