WSI 92+: The Mount Riley Sauvignon Blanc is a blend from multiple vineyard sites throughout Marlborough, with 30% from the Awatere Valley and the balance from the Wairau Valley. Grapes were crushed and destemmed prior to pressing and fermentation occurred in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the lifted aromatics in this wine.
A complex and expressive nose showing pink grapefruit, passionfruit and lime with nuances of nettles and crushed herb. A wine of striking fruit purity and concentration with fresh but balanced acidity and great length of flavour. Drinking well now, this wine can be enjoyed until late 2019. Great as an aperitif or match with seafood, white meats, pasta, salads or Asian cuisine.
