2016 Oakville Winegrowers Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker’s Notes: The 2016 Cuvée shows deep purple color in the glass, hinting at the generous extraction in this wine. The aroma offers complex layered aromas of ripe dark plum and strawberries, dark chocolate, and a savory hint of bay and toasted almonds. The palate shows a bright red-fruit driven entry with very linear tannin presentation, elegant structure and good density. It has a rich dark berry mid-palate, and an enduring finish that is both rich and bright with just a touch of barrel sweetness.
Blend: 92.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5.3% Petite Verdot, 1.9% Cabernet Franc, 0.3% Merlot, and 0.1% Malbec

This limited production wine is a blend of select lots of Oakville’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon and blending varieties contributed by winery members of the Oakville Winegrowers. The Cuveé offers the collector an extraordinary opportunity to experience the best of Napa Valley’s premiere growing region. There is no other wine that equally represents the spirit of an appellation and the camaraderie of its vintners. Each bottle is etched and numbered, a beautiful and rare addition to any wine cellar.
