Our 2016 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir combines tobacco and rose petals with jammy fruit and leather. Rich and textured, the palate opens to bright red berry and dark-edged cherry, and moves into plum with hints of dried cherry. Earthy forest floor emerges through a structured finish with dense fruit wrapped in charred leather and tobacco leaf.
WS91: Tight and savory, with a mix of forest floor, modestly ripe plum and wild berry flavors, firming on the finish. Best from 2019 through 2024. – James Laube
