The 2017 vintage of Double Diamond opens with black and blue fruits balanced by a light oak spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich with a nice backbone of acidity. With a big, bold fruit character and fine-grained tannins, this wine is ready to enjoy upon release yet will mellow nicely for the next five years. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon 7% Cabernet Franc 1% Petit Verdot 1% Malbec 1% Merlot barrels. Aged for 14 months in all French oak barrels, 49% new.
