2018 Stolpman Rosé

The salmon pink glow offers a first indication of the delicate flower that is 2018 Estate Rose of Grenache. Dancing with fleshy curves across the palate, the fruit becomes firm through the crisp finish. Bright red cherry juice sings from the nose through the palate, riding on a feathery layer above the popping acidity.  A perfect combination of depth and brightness. This year, in pursuit of further purity and a more nuanced flavors, we direct-pressed the majority of the wine and gently extracted skin color from 20% of the fruit.  To signal the latest stylistic change away from the darker, more intense profile, the 2018 Estate Rose of Grenache comes in a slope shouldered “burgundy” bottle, rather than the taller “Bordeaux” bottle of years past.
