This collection of California wines featured 3 bottles each of the following wines:
2015 Shypoke Charbono
The heirloom Charbono variety, hailing from the savoie and grown with pride on our calistoga ranch since 1904. Pomegranate and dark plum cut a groove amongst tart cherries and roasted sage.
2015 Bydand Chardonnay
Farmed by one of California’s most respected and longest operating grape-growing families, the Roberts Road Vineyard is located in the Petaluma Gap. Sitting on well draining gravel soils, coastal winds allow for a long, slow and even growing season. Planted in 1998 these Dijon 95 grapes provide minerality and vibrancy to a full-bodied wine with impressive purity of flavor, mouth-feel and complexity. French oak barrels add subtle toast to aromas of pear, stone fruits and white citrus.
2013 Martinelli Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
The 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir has aromas of cherry cola, rhubarb, spiced plums and potpourri. On the palate, raspberries with cream and spicy blackberry jam flavors, with great balance and a lengthy finish. Primarily Blue Slide Ridge Vineyard fruit (declassified.) 90% Blue Slide Ridge, a tiny bit of Three Sisters, Wild Thyme (a new Martinelli single vineyard), and Home Ranch (a new Martinelli single vineyard.)
2017 Picayune Sauvignon Blanc
Fresh burst of stonefruit on the nose. The palate is bright and lively with melon, peach and Asian pear flavors. The wine shows a lot of texture with a nice balance and finish. Crisp, fresh and attractive. Drink on its own or pair with seafood, poultry, spicy food and anything that inspires you.
