The NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is a serious wine. The Brut Rosé starts as the same wine as the Brut Tradition, and then sees about 2-3% still red wine, which, along with a very low dosage of 2 grams per liter, take the wine into a dimension of brightness, tension and focus, with little of the creaminess found in the Tradition. The white pepper, cranberry, rose petal and chalk notes are finely sketched in a Champagne endowed with remarkable purity and translucence. Disgorged December 2017. Dosage is 2 grams per liter.
Estate Notes: Aromas of blood orange, wildflowers, pomegranate jam. Creamy and full-bodied; red fruits, lemon zest, light spic. Hand-harvested. Dosage 3-4 grams/L. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with the addition of Ambonnay Rouge (vintage 2010) for color VINEYARDS: Estate vineyards (planted in the 1970s) are located in the villages of Ambonnay, Verzenay and Bouzy.
