The NV Brut Les Vignes de Vrigny 1er Cru is bright, focused and easy to drink young. Citrus peel, almond and white flowers, along with soft contours and a silky texture, are some of the signatures in this very pretty and expressive pure Meunier. The current release is based on 2013, with 50% reserve wines from 2012 and 2011. Disgorged December 2017. Dosage is 2-3 grams per liter.
Estate Notes: Aromas of apricots, herbs, light cream. Supple and fresh; harmonious and balanced. Hand-harvested. Fermented on indigenous yeasts in tank. Base vintage 2012, making up 50% of the blend; the rest 2011 and 2010. Aged in bottle for three years. Dosage 2-3 grams/L. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 100% Pinot Meunier. Estate vineyards (just under five acres) planted exclusively to Pinot Meunier on chalky soils (rated premier cru) on the Montagne de Reims. AGE OF VINES: 40 years, on average
