An assorted case of curated wines from around the world. Case includes a total of 12 bottles, 2 bottles each of the following 6 wines:
2016 Lime Rock Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand): 93 points! From a very good year, this Sauvignon displays gooseberry and peapod notes along with some riper passionfruit aromas. A detailed bright wine, with a salty citrus line, from our ancient seabed limestone soils.
2015 Caprili Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese (Italy): 94 points! The Rosso di Montalcino is a vibrant ruby red color. It has intense and dense fruit-driven aromas. Rich, red fruits and earthy minerality dominate the palate, and a long, elegant finish. 100% Sangiovese Grosso.
2015 Delarche Pernand Vergelesses ‘Boutieres’ Burgundy (France): 94+ points! Aromas of black fruits, licorice, earth, light pepper. Juicy and fleshy, with good energy; bramble fruit, violet candy.
2015 Raul Perez Ultriea Bierzo St Jacques Mencia (Spain): 94 points! In the glass it’s a deep ruby moving to purple/magenta at the rim, with a beguiling nose of pomegranate, plum, red and black raspberry, wet roses and violets, graphite, a hint of eucalyptus (Loire Cab Franc!), and crushed stones.
2014 De Martino Legado Reserva Carmenere (Chile): 95 points! Extraordinary intensity, dark brooding fruit balanced elegant round tannins and a fresh mineralogy on the finish. Black licorice and earthy notes throughout. Delicious.
2011 Noemi Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley): 95 points! This is an unbelievable wine – perhaps the finest Noemi Cabernet to date! Aromas of boysenberries, black cherries and camphor emanate from the glass. A silky smooth texture and mouthfeel with flavors of rich red raspberries, black plums, toffee and a touch of cocoa are complemented by hints of vanilla, sweet tobacco and strawberry jam.
