WSI93 Started in 1947 by Gabriel d’Ardhuy, now carried on by his 7 daughters. The Estate became Certified Organic and Biodynamic in 2009. It is situated on the border between Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune. It is nestled in the Clos des Langres, which has been synonymous with exceptional wine since the monks of the Abbaye de Cîteau planted the first vineyards in the 10th century. Four generations of the d’Ardhuy family have owned this estate, the vineyards of which stretch from Puligny-Montrachet to Gevrey-Chambertin and produce 40 different wines (mainly grands crus and premier crus– including Corton, Clos de Vougeot, and Corton Charlemagne).
All wines are bottled unfiltered and unfined. Vineyard Description: Domaine d’Ardhuy has approx. 37 ha (90 acres) in 30+ appellations. Soils are mainly Limestone and sand with patches of gravel.100% Pinot Noir with average case production of 400 – 450 cases per wine. Fermented in stainless and aged 14 – 16 months in 65% used barrels (mostly over 3 years old) and 35% new barrels.
