WSI 95+ Dark and inky, this beautiful 2013 is full of cassis, currant and dark chocolate aromas. The palate explodes with dark cherry, blackberry and rich spice, gradually opening into layers of violet, clove and cocoa nib. The chewy tannins and balanced acidity of this juicy, full-bodied wine offer excellent aging potential for collectors. Decanting is recommended for drinking in its youth. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 9% Petit Verdot
This is a team that can’t be beat. The pristine vineyards were designed by David Abreu, with Napa’s most esteemed and experienced vineyard managers (Jim Barbour, Silverado Farming) overseeing the estate. The wine is made by the famed Philippe Melka (Lail, Metisse, Parallel, Hundred Acre, Bryant Family, Dana Estate, Vineyard 29, and Dominus, as well as Haut-Brion and Petrus ~ to name a few), who Parker has named one of the top 10 wine consultants in the world.
