Deep ruby color. Nose is incredibly floral, garrigue and spice. Incredibly smooth and supple on the palate, with flavors of blackberries, blood orange, tangerine leading to a long, spice driven finish. Complex, structured wine from 45-year-old vines planted in granite, limestone and clay loam soils. 100 cases imported.
André Lassagne is dedicated to his families’ vineyards in Saint Amour and Juliénas, which they have owned for over 50 years. Located in Saint-Amour-Bellevue, the northernmost Beaujolais cru village, André handcrafts aromatic, seductive, high quality wines from these old vines. Vines are farmed sustainably, grapes are harvested manually and aged in concrete tanks and neutral Burgundy barrels.
