2015 Palmento Costanzo ‘Mofete’ Nerello Mascalese

Ruby red color of medium intensity. Spicy nose with hints of fresh wild herbs, pink and volcanic ash. On the palate, the flavors are juicy, balanced and elegant, with a savory finish. Nerello Mascalese 80% Nerello Cappuccio 20% from 5 to 30 year old vines. Aged in Stainless steel 12 months and then 6 months in bottle before release.The vineyard is located in Contrada Santo Spirito, Passopisciaro, with northern Etna exposure. Altitude: 680-750 mt. Soil type: Black and brown volcanic sands 60-70%; pebbles and rocks.
