WSI94 When the famed Summa Vineyard which was planted in the town of Occidental on Taylor Lane in 1979 in was sold an acre and a half was retained by the original owners, Scott & Joan Zeller. Scott is the vineyard manager for Furthermore Wines and Furthermore now makes a Starbridge Vineyard Designate from that old block of Summa that the Zeller’s kept. This “true Sonoma Coast” Pinot Noir vineyard is exceptionally low yielding with just 1/2 ton of fruit produced by the acre and a half vineyard in 2015. The wine is an elegantly low alcohol delight at 13.1% and incredibly nuanced with beautiful aromatics. Its obvious why Littorai and Williams Selyem loved working with this vineyard over the past few decades.
