VIN95 One of the consistently great wines made in Washington, the 2017 red wine Two Blondes combines 52% Merlot, 22% Cabernet franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Malbec. Salty and savory tones greet you aromatically, alongside tar, espresso bean, red currants and sandalwood accents. Full body, seamless and very elegant, with bright acidity and a smooth texture, this outstanding bottling is already starting to sing its high octave right now and will surely drink well for another 15 years to come.
JD94 This site in the Yakima Valley produces some great wines, and the 2017 Two Blondes Vineyard from Andrew Will certainly delivers the goods. Lots of cassis and redcurrant fruit as well as notes of spice box, flowery incense, and chocolate all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, elegant, and seamless on the palate. Drink this aromatic, layered, complex 2017 over the coming 15 years or more.
