Lovely raspberry and wild strawberry nose, with gentle notes of forest floor. The velvety palate brings plush red fruits and fresh strawberry-rhubarb compote, with elegant layers of fennel seed, allspice and cocoa powder notes. Fresh acidity slants in and carries the fruit into a long finish of raspberry and black tea.
Refined and well-structured, with concentrated dried cherry and raspberry flavors that feature notes of hot stone. Allspice accents linger on the fresh minerally finish with hints of white pepper.
Our goal with this bottling is an elegant, easy-drinking wine with all the qualities of classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The 2017 vintage was sourced from two dynamic vineyards located in the southern reaches of the Sonoma Coast AVA near the Petaluma Gap, where chilly maritime breezes and volcanic soils produce small yields of vivid, aromatic fruit. These are light and agile red wines with earthy minerality, zesty raspberry, enticing floral notes and clean, fine-grained tannins. 315 cases produced.
