WSI93+ Flint and hazelnut on the nose. A hint of wild yeast, racy minerality with lean stone fruit characteristics, long mouth-watering finish. Very bright and lively!
Estate Notes: Aromas of wildflower, pear, lemon zest, crushed stones. Lively and juicy, with a lingering, stony and fresh finish. Hand-harvested. Pressed full cluster; fermented on indigenous yeasts in 228L and 342L French oak barrels (25-30% new), aged in same barrels. Age of vines: 30-50 years.
The thrilling white Burgundies of the high-altitude village of Saint-Aubin have long been an open secret; savvy buyers know that these steep, hillsides vineyards above Chassagne produce nervy, intense white wines that (still) are a great value. Our friends at Remoissenet have put together a bold, older-vine white Burgundy from villages-level vineyards with class and staying power.
