WSI94+ Dark garnet/purple in color with a violet tinged nose that gives way to currants, black cherries, cigar box and herbs. The palate has structured tannins that are kept in balance with succulent flavors of cherry li- queur, cocoa and vanilla bean. Drinking beautifully now but will age nicely for an additional 10-15 years.
Fermented in small format stainless steel tanks. Cold soaked 4 days prior to fermentation. Temperature maintained below 80 degrees and a post ferment extended maceration of an additional 5 days. Malolac- tic fermentation occurred in barrel with aging on lees for at least a year. Barrel Aged for 30 months in 30% New French Oak, 70% Neutral French Oak. 497 cases produced.
