2018 Argot Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Vineyard Napa Valley

WSI95+ JD95 The Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard is a more lifted, perfumed wine and has a great nose of blueberries, mulberries, wildflowers, cedary spice, and incense. This carries to a beautifully textured, full-bodied, elegant 2018 with loads of texture and richness, sweet tannins, and a great finish. It’s one of the more approachable Cabernets in the lineup, but my money is on it evolving gracefully for 15-20 years with no issues.
Estate Notes: Hailing from two unique blocks — the sheltered, north-facing, terraced, Clone 7 block: planted on deep powdery soil,it  produces a black-fruited wine of great structure with terroir-driven botanical notes; a fully-exposed, barren ridgetop, planted to shy-bearing Clone 15 vines which produce a raucously opulent, red-fruited Cabernet of gleaming purity and uber-plush textures. 150 cases.
