WA93 They couldn’t produce the red in amphora in 2018, and I only tasted the 2018 Viejas Tinajas Moscatel. Like many of the wines, this is the finest bottling for this cuvée in an almost-perfect vintage. This has moderate alcohol (12.8%) and very high acidity, something quite unusual for the variety, and it gives a lively character to the palate with citrus freshness. It has varietal notes, but more than that, it is very clean, complex and floral, with notes of orange peel. It’s a lot cleaner than the initial vintages, without any rusticity, and is focused and bone dry. 5,400 bottles produced and filled in September 2019.
