The 2018 Cuvée is a powerful player – a Barry Bonds style hitter. The aroma opens with brown spices, gingerbread and a little sweet molasses topped off with vibrant blackberry fruit and cassis. The palate brings to mind ripe plums and blueberries and offers a dark potency that is exhilarating. This is a tightly structured wine that will age very well with its mineral undertones and smooth tannins. Cellar for 10-20 years, or decant for an hour if enjoying it sooner. This wine screams for a bold meal, and would be a great partner to a juicy steak.
