WA96+The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it charges out of the glass with fantastically intense scents of freshly crushed blackberries, blackcurrants and black raspberries plus touches of lavender, fertile loam, cardamom and camphor plus a waft of roses. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is charged with electric black fruit and floral flavors, supported by ripe, fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness, finishing long and minerally.
JD95+ The flagship is the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from Clones 4 and 7. Lots of crème de cassis, blueberries, scorched earth, graphite, chocolate, and obvious minerality all emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, concentrated, and backward, yet loaded with potential. With the purity of fruit that’s the hallmark of the vintage, ripe yet building tannins, and terrific freshness, hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 20+.
DEC95 Quintessentially Coombsville on the nose, which combines freshness with opulent black fruits, tying them together with a sturdy, graphite-laden core. Utterly seamless on the palate, with a voluptuousness texture tethered to a weightless, ethereal quality. The finish is long, multifaceted, and never stays in once place very long.
