2018 Yao Ming Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

WE94 This is a supple, juicy and cohesive wine that’s bold and full bodied, with well-integrated intensity and tannin. Bright notes of currant, plum and cassis are complemented by toasted oak and baking spice, but it’s the length and complexity that truly stand out.
OB93 The 2018 Yao Family Wines Cabernet Sauvignon is an outstanding effort from this great vintage throughout Napa Valley. Once on the nose this takes on layers of violets with espresso bean and rich dark fruit tones. The palate is dense and full-bodied with lovely black tea and blackberry compote flavors that collide with minerals and smoky undertones. (Owen Bargreen)
