Ultreia de Valtuille’ is a Mencia dominant blend, whole-cluster fermented with native yeast, followed by one year of aging in barrel; dark fruited, with ample herb undertones and a long finish. Delicious with lamb and/or game!  Mencia-based blend with Bastardo (Trousseau), Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), Godello and Dona Blanca.
From 120+ year-old vines in the sandy clay of Las Villegas, Raul’s first-ever single-vineyard parcel (and where his house is situated among the vines) • Spontaneous whole-cluster fermentation in large open-top wooden vat • 60-90 day post-fermentation maceration followed by one year of elevage in neutral barrel • Bottled without fining or filtration
