The rich and opulent wine displays intense aromas of ripe dark berries with a hint of bitter almond. It has beautifully concentrated deep fruit flavours with elegant oak and savoury notes. The palate is smooth with supple tannins and a fine, lingering finish.
The grapes were dried in naturally ventilated conditions until the first week of December, preserving the fruit’s quality. During the drying process, the fruit sugars and flavours were concentrated. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by 30 days of maceration. The wine was then transferred to 225-litre French oak barriques, of which 50% were new, for a period of 24 months, followed by 18 months in bottle before being released. 16% Alc.
