2020 M. A. Monticelli Nebbiolo Langhe

TWI91 The 2020 M.A. Monticelli Langhe Nebbiolo is 50% declassified Barolo. It has a pale ruby-purple color and sings of Bing cherries, juicy raspberries, and rosehip tea, with hints of cinnamon stick and black pepper. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a lively backbone and a lightly chewy texture to the perfumed red berry flavors, finishing with a lively lift.
JD91 From a solid vintage for the region, the light-hued 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo has a classic nose of pretty red cherries, strawberries, dried herbs, and leather. It’s medium-bodied, ultra-fine, balanced, and has outstanding length.
M.A. MONTICELLI is a bridge from the past to the future. The Monicelli’s still have family in Italy to this day and they started the project to keep their heritage close and pass it down to their children. They are working with the Franco Conterno family, an iconic and historic family in Barolo. Their grape growing and winemaking philosophy is based on modern technology, tradition, and a respect for the environment, three ideals that are held in high regard.
