2021 Argot Bonny’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

WSI97+ TWI97 Opaque purple-black colored, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Bonny’s Vineyard prances out with showy scents of Morello cherries, wild blueberries, and black raspberries, leading to a core of black currant jelly and violets. The full-on, full-bodied palate is densely laden with black and blue berry layers, framed by fine-grained tannins and well-knit freshness, finishing long and earthy.
JD96 The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Bonny’s Vineyard is another gem of a wine. Coming all from a site in Oakville and aged 22 months in 85% new French oak, it has a medium to full-bodied, layered, rich, textured style as well as velvety tannins, ripe red and black currant fruit, some leafy herb, iron, and underbrush notes, and a great finish. It’s one of my favorites in the lineup from Argot, and it has everything you could want from an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. It will benefit from just a few years of bottle age and evolve for 15-20 years if well stored.
