2021 Charles Joguet ‘Les Petites Roches’ Cabernet Franc Chinon Loire AC

100% Cabernet Franc from vines planted in the 1930s. Les Petites Roches, with its predominantly clay and moderately chalky hillsides and plateaux, offers wines with red fruit aromas with a nice mineral structure, to be enjoyed within five years of the vintage.
A young, peppery nose with tart red currant aromas that practically jump out of the glass. On the palate, the fruit follows through to a spicy, astonishingly lengthy finish. A satisfying match for charcuterie or creamy fresh goat cheese, which complement the refreshing acidity.
This wine undergoes prolonged aging in 1-3 year old barrels for 12-15 months. Charles Joguet wines are certified organic.
