2021 The Crane Assembly ‘G.B. Crane Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon

WA96 The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon G.B. Crane Vineyard is slightly reined in compared to the 2019 (in a good way), featuring faintly cedary aromas, a hint of vanilla, ripe black cherries and dusty earth elements. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a smooth, creamy mid-palate framed by fine-grained tannins that persist through the long, elegant finish without any sense of astringency or excess weight. It’s lovely stuff from the estate vineyard in Saint Helena, but only 141 cases were produced.
