2021 Waypoint ‘Ritchie Vineyard’ RRV Sauvignon Blanc

DEC94 An utterly delicious Sauvignon Blanc from the famed Russian River Chardonnay site, Ritchie Vineyard. This wine offers fresh, ripe fruit aromatics of apricot, and 100% oak fermentation gives the aromas richness and a touch of spice. The palate is sumptuous. Fleshy grilled peach, ripe pineapple, and delicious lemon cream dominate the flavor profile with an underlying flinty minerality. Gorgeous wine. Drinking Window: 2023 – 2032.
Estate Notes: Most famously known for his Chardonnay, Kent Ritchie also planted a very small amount of Sauvignon Blanc on the sandy Goldridge soils here over 35 years ago. We feel this may be one of the best kept secrets in all of California wine, and we are exceedingly proud of the wines we have produced out of this site year after year.
