Aromas of citrus zest, white fruit, wildflowers. Medium-bodied, fresh, juicy. The 2023 Domaine Barolet-Pernot Bourgogne Blanc is a fresh, mineral-driven Chardonnay from small estate-owned parcels, often near Puligny-Montrachet, offering bright citrus (lemon zest), white flowers, and crushed stone notes, balanced by crisp acidity and minerality, with some aging in tank/neutral oak, making it a classic, vibrant entry-level Burgundy with clean orchard fruit and a precise finish, perfect for lighter dishes. Domaine Barolet-Pernot Pere et Fils is a small Estate located in Saint Romain. They currently have 14 hectares (34 acres). The Estate dates back from 1570.
Established in 1957, Domaine Barolet-Pernot remains a micro-domaine, with some rare and wonderful selections limited to a single barrel. But what Romain and his family team do produce is worth seeking out, to discover the intensity and joyful vibrancy of the real Saint-Romain. The family cultivates some 35 acres of vineyard land, in Saint-Romain, Beaune, Auxey-Duresses and Puligny-Montrachet. Vines are cared for as close to organic principles as vintage conditions allow; the estate is not certified.
