2023 Walter Hansel ‘The Meadows’ Chardonnay Russian River Valley

JD91 The 2023 Chardonnay The Meadows Vineyard has a more focused and spiced feel in the glass, with aromas of green apples, candied lime, white pepper, and caramel. Medium to full-bodied, it boasts a refreshing and even spine of acidity, a balanced, linear feel, and a mouthwatering finish. It’s a highly appealing Chardonnay with the potential to improve over the next couple of years and drink its best over the coming 4-6 years.
The Meadows Chardonnay is produced from the lowest elevation located contiguous to the Santa Rosa creek. It is 100% dry farmed as the water table is quite high. This Wine is produced from a clone that is a 100% selection from the Hanzel vineyards.
