With access to the best fruit from one of the hottest regions in California, this distinctive Syrah comes from a cool new appellation of Sonoma County. A dead ringer for a great little Northern Rhone Cote Rotie or an Hermitage, a huge smoky, bacon fat-scented nose delivers aromas of leather, and massive black fruits. Complex, with soft tannins and impeccable balance. Though irresistable now, it will age well for years. Drink now-2010. Only 120 cases made.
