The 2017 ‘Red Blend’ is a melange of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% Cabernet Franc with smaller portions Merlot and Syrah. Fruit is sourced from the Columbia Valley and has a good combination of freshness and ripeness. The palate is medium-bodied with straightforward black fruit flavors with chocolate undertones. This is really well-made stuff that is meant to be enjoyed in the short-term.
Aging: 19 months in French and American oak, 45% new, 24% once-filled, 31% older and neutral barrels.
