2018 Bevan Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Tench Vineyard’ Oakville

JD99 Lots of blueberry and cassis fruit as well as complex notes of white flowers and violets emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard, and it’s just about pure perfection, with full-bodied richness, elegant tannins, and the purity of fruit and freshness that’s the hallmark of this great vintage. It has plenty of background oak, so if you’re oak averse, give bottles 2-4 years in the cellar. It should keep for two decades.
WA96+ The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant scents of black cherries, boysenberries and cassis followed by suggestions of menthol, licorice and tobacco leaf. Medium-full, firm, fine-grained and lively with great intensity and loads of mineral sparks, it finishes with great purity. 1,005 cases were made.
