Dusted blackberries, plums, and dark fruit tones coalesce into a wide expanse of engaging freshness and vibrancy. Creamy tannins tell a story of a layered and complex wine. Brilliant raspberry reduction, Rainier cherry, and cassis unfold in waves through the mid-palate to its impressive, well-tiered finish. The 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is truly symphonic in its progression of flavor, density, power, and lift.
2018 marks yet another excellent vintage for the Napa Valley. The near-perfect weather conditions and generous length of this vintage allowed our Cabernet Sauvignon to come into perfect ripeness at a leisurely pace, resulting in the even development of acidity and a fuller expression of place. 92% Cabernet Sauvignon 1% Merlot 4% Cabernet Franc 2% Petit Verdot 1% Malbec.

WINEMAKING: It starts with the painstaking process of vinifying lot by lot, tasting and evaluating each for specific attributes and characteristics. Like a complex puzzle, Winemaker Peter Heitz weaves together a narrative of place, tasting through and chalking each barrel, one by one, to determine the final blends. Our wines are aged in 100% French Oak barrels and rest in bottle for extended time so that they may be enjoyed as they were intended: upon release and over the long-term.
