2019 Delarche ‘Les Belles Filles’ Pernand Vergelesses AOC

Aromas of orange and lemon zest, crushed stones, light peppery spice. Fresh, vibrant; red apples, lemons, crisp white pears PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Salads; shellfish such as oysters or clams; tangy, fresh French cheese.
’Les Belles Filles’ sits adjacent to premier cru ‘Caradeaux’ yet further north, deeper within the “combe” or valley of Pernand. Vines face north/northeast at altitude, making it a much cooler site. Soils combine clay, limestone and sand. AGE OF VINES: 10 years, on average WINEMAKING: Hand-harvested. Pressed full cluster; fermented on indigneous yeasts in older French oak barrels. Aged in barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
