2022 Macauley Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

WSI94+ The ’22 Macauley Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir is a perfect example of what winesbecome when you have a site that perfectly matches the varietal, Fort Ross-Seaview’sCinghiale Vineyard, and an ideal growing season such as 2022. Hints of clove, vanillin,light-dried cherry, and sage. A bold mouth with blackberry, crushed herbs, cocoa nib,and a hint of tobacco follows. The tannin weight and acidity are youthful and in plenty ofsupply. The finish rounds out for a massive length of over two minutes. Aged 14 months in40% new Francois Freres French Oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine will thrive for 14 to 16 years and beyond if aged correctly. 150 cases produced – Kirk Venge
