2022 Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot & 2% Malbec this 2022 shows surprising freshness and accessibility at such a young age and reveals a core of sweet plum tinged fruit along with already nicely integrated, yet structured tannins. Or, as winemaker, Peter Heitz more eloquently notes, “Aromatics of Bing Cherries, red cassis, and dusty blackberries lead to up-drifts of pepper and spice box. Silky black tea tannins and dimpled texture flow with linear movement across the mid-palate, highlighting freshness and brightness amidst a rich and dense dark fruit core.
